Christmas is coming to Busch Gardens

12 Nov

Hi Everyone,

Busch Gardens is getting into the Christmas Spirit with special shows and decorations. If you are visiting Busch Gardens over the festive period, you will be treated to live performances, themed breakfasts and a special New Years Eve celebration.

‘Christmas on Ice’ is an ice-skating show with a Christmas theme – showing between 19th November and 1st January 2012 in the Moroccan Palace.

At the Marrakesh Theater you can enjoy ‘Christmas from the Heart’ featuring gospel and spiritual songs performed by a live choir.

Inside the Desert Grill, the ‘Christmas Celebration’ musical show features seasonal songs and tap-dancing toy soldiers.

Guests can also enjoy a character breakfast with Santa and his elves which will take place from 8:30 to 10:30am on 3rd December and 10th December. The breakfast includes visits with Santa, a performance of ‘Christmas Celebration’, and a family photo. Prices are $18 for adults and $12 for children.

Inside the park guests will also find festive décor, classic music and a cappella carols by the Men of Note.

The park will have extended hours on New Year’s Eve to help guests ring in the New Year. The band None Other will play in Gwazi Park throughout the evening. A special midnight fireworks show will help guests say goodbye to 2011 with a bang.

Christmas Magic at Disney

4 Nov

Hi Everyone,

Christmas is my favourite time of year, and I can’t think of anywhere I would rather spend it than Disney World, Florida. A girl can dream…

Christmas is when Walt Disney World is at its most magical with special parties, fireworks, shows and new entertainment for 2011.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be hosted on 19 evenings, starting on 8th November. This is an after-hours party including Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Holiday Wishes Fireworks, special meet and greet opportunities, free cookies, apple slices and hot chocolate, and access to the attractions at Magic Kingdom. But remember guys, you will need to buy an extra ticket to join the party.

This year, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will take place on 8th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 18th, 27th, 29th and 30th November and 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 16th and 18th December from 7pm until midnight.

Epcot will be hosting the Candlelight Processional which offers a retelling of the Christmas story with a mass choir and 50-piece live orchestra featuring celebrity narrators each evening between 25th November and 30th December. Throughout the park’s World Showcase, Holidays Around the World offers international storytellers sharing traditions and tales from their homeland. Remember, each evening at Epcot is finished with ‘Illumiantions: Reflections of the Earth’ a fireworks display with a special holiday finale.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the ‘Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights’ returns covering the cityscape buildings with millions of bulbs, dancing lights and animated displays and will run between 10th November and 7th Jan 2012.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom will bring back ‘Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade’ featuring King Louie and Baloo leading a musical cavalcade through the park. Santa Goofy’s Holiday Village at Camp Minnie-Mickey offers character meet-and-greets while carolers spread holiday cheer.

It sounds absolutely magical to me! If you are going to Disney World this Christmas, drop line and let me know about your magical moments.
